Erebus3DX: hey I don't know who you are and why you thought you had permission to pass my art through AI but I DID NOT give you permission to use AI for my art. Maybe if you would have contacted me we could've had a convo. But you decided to do it without my permission.
TLDR; idk who this person is and I did not give this guy permission to put my art through AI.
Erebus3DX: @Atticwasp: A publicly traded company Vs one person who made fanart under fair use. AI therefore stole my art under fair use and modified the exact image with Artificial Intellgence, art that i worked on myself from start to finish when I did not give them permission for them to train/give the AI my specific art. use your fucking head.
mantis55: @Erebus3DX: Fair use cuts both ways you know. If you can get away with "stealing" their character model for your renderings then they can get away with "stealing" your renderings for ai video generation.
Atticwasp: @Erebus3DX: Use my fucking head, huh? Maybe you should do a little of that yourself. Firstly, Naughty Dog isn't publicly traded, they are a privately owned subsidiary, not that it makes even a tiny difference to your argument. Your art is likely covered under fair use as a parody of Naughty Dog's intellectual property and therefore do not require permission. Why, exactly do you think someone needs YOUR permission to make a parody of your parody? Because you made fan art yourself and Naughty Dog is a company? Your logic makes no legal or rational sense.
Erebus3DX: @Atticwasp: @mantis55: @wendigo: Im man enough to admit when im wrong about whatever state Naughty Dog is, but at the end of the day I did not give this person to steal my artwork i spend weeks on, just for him to use it on some trash AI animation. You guys arent artists without any artistic bone in your body so you wouldn't understand it. AI art is not art. This person is not, will not ever be an artist. The fact you guys defend this instead of the people who make the content that is being "animated" is pathetic and sad. no wonder hella people leave and now most of the art is low quality slop. but hey, from now on im just gonna glaze my art with anti AI stuff lol.
aryan826: bro your stuff is exquisite, but people can take and repost pretty much whatever they want, particularly if they are not charging for it (asuming the original render is/was publicly available in the first place). and dude never claimed to be an artist. but the vast majority of people like the direction this tech is going.
if you personally do not want your work re uploaded / altered only real path to take is DMCA takedown and good luck with that here, particularly on loli content.
Kurohoshi00: DMCA wouldn't even work on a fanart anyway, Erebus does not own the rights to the character and DMCA is all about copyrights, which would be the company who owns the original rights to the character. On top of that, AI art is still considered fair use, even if it is a morally grey area. So, yeah, they're whinging just to whine, and the person animating the stuff doesn't seem to be taking any money for the work (just doing it for fun), so...this is unfortunately the roadblock you have to get used to when you make art of characters that aren't your own.
Considering some of the attitude the original artist's given on their posts here, too, I'm finding it hard to get behind them on this, lol.
aryan826: seems about right, there maaay be something one can do, something dmca agent but maybe not that specifically. but the reality is artist will most likely have to wildly ajust to the new world. its understandable they are frustrated and afraid. ideally we should help them come to terms gently, we dont have to be a dick about it and call the cry babys and all that.
Erebus makes fantastic content and loli are and artists are rare enough as it is. don't have to pour salt in the would after stealing their stuff then call them a crybaby after. do you want them to straight up quit making stuff? cause that's how you do that. then who will make the beautiful stuff that is stolen to train the ai in the first place.
but for the disheartened artists out there that think if an ai touches art it is instantly worth -100000 points. ( which by the way as much as they want to believe, it is not all artists that think that) i ask where is the issue, with lets say charging $20 for a still render and $100 for an anim. but for people that just want a lil something extra you can charge like $30 for a render that the artist themself feeds into an ai to animate. i know 100s of artists that do images and not animations. why make like 5 times the work and price for simple motion. the amount of generic overwatch porn out there with widow sniping while getting pounded in the ass. i mean just give that to an ai to animate. then for like custom projects keep doing what your doing cause (for now) ai doesn't come close to the quality of longer projects.\
ok that was to long no ones gonna read all that..
titties!
Atticwasp: @Erebus3DX: I'm not defending anything. I'm calling you out on your bogus argument. If you had come into this saying "Hey, man, I really don't appreciate you feeding my art into generative AI; I don't want anything I do to be a part of that" then you would have been totally valid in your stance. The issue I had was you stating that anyone needed your permission, a word you used 4 times in 3 sentences. No one needs your permission.
You act like Ellie was just magically created out of thin air. REAL artists drew her in concept, then REAL artists 3D modeled her, and then people like yourself took those REAL artists creation and turned it into porn. You don't get to take the moral high ground here, my man.
LoNa: Sorry for the late reply, but I was working and am in Europe, so the time zone is different from America. First of all, I agree with your discussions above; I haven't broken any laws, and I apologize if I've caused any inconvenience. But since you said, "This person is not, and will never be, an artist," I've been an architectural visualizer for over 10 years. I've worked with Maya, 3DS Max, Unity, Unreal, Corona, V-ray, D5, Lumion, the Adobe suite, and Topaz, as well as Rendair to get my hands on AI for the various projects I work on. I don't understand the cruelty of insulting me, when I've always been respectful since I've been here, and I've always been clear that I do it just for fun, without ever, ever, asking for money for these experiments. I have a great job, I just find them very interesting. I've been working with 3D for many years and have almost seen the industry's birth in my country; these transformations from image to video continue to amaze me. And yes, if I'm on this site, it means I enjoy viewing these images in my free time, just like you guys do.
That said, if this "video" really bothers you, feel free to contact an administrator who will remove it. You have my full support.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to break more federal laws by turning more images into videos and posting them here so you can masturbate in peace. Who knows, maybe after you come, you'll be at peace.
Veyk25: @Erebus3DX: I hope these trogs don't stop you from continuing your work. This is simply the environment you have to work in, people who are so disconnected that they don't understand how you could dislike this.
Erebus3DX: @Veyk25: ive already been on the out anyways, moderators not responding, people interacting with the AI slop more than my actual work, and like you said people who are so disconnected that they don't understand how I could dislike this, it is what it is
Erebus3DX: @LoNa: lol what are you on about, i admitted i was wrong towards@Atticwasp: on the topic of intellectual property. get off your high horse, you take artists art and turn it into slop. im somehow the bad guy for defending my art I spent days working on because I don't want it to be ran through a bad AI filter. you say you've worked with Maya, 3DS Max, Unity, Unreal, Corona, V-ray, D5, Lumion, the Adobe suite. so make actual art. you say you don't understand the cruelty of insulting you, when you insulted me by running my art through an AI filter no matter how "respectful" you've been here or the fact you've haven't asked for money, I haven't either lol. Any and all artists are insulted when their art is ran through AI just look at all the artists talking about it on twitter.
LoNa: Why do you think this AI hasn't revolutionized anything in my field? But instead of crying like a baby, I've embraced it, using it for my work, silencing those people who thought they could do my job in 5 minutes. If this bothers you, I'm sorry, but it's the present for now. Embrace it or be buried by it.
aryan826: not any and all artists are insulted. just because you surround yourself in your echo chamber dose not mean that what you hear is the opinion of all.
and you are not the bad guy for defending yourself. but you just come across as a bit of a dick. not everyone is disrespected buy the same stuff, perhaps it was a bit of an oversight to not ask especially when it is around quite a sensitive topic, but thats just kinda how everything is done here. no one asks for permission we are just hear to fap most of the moral, polite considerations are but to the side when uploading.
and yet Lona made it very clear if you want it removed they will request as much.
and Lona....regarding no ai revolutionizing your field.......mums the word but im workin on a lil summin summin there too :P :D

All this crying will amount to nothing.
